What is perimenopause?
Perimenopause begins with the first signs of approaching menopause and ends one year after the final menstrual period.
How long will it last?
The overall average duration of the perimenopause is 5 years. The transition can take up to ten years. So if you are in your 40’s, you are not too young for perimenopause. Many women don’t want to discuss menopause, but preparation and life style changes will make the transition easier and set the stage for healthy aging.
What are the symptoms?
Possible symptoms of perimenopause include the following – it’s a long list! Note, that in some cases, symptoms may be due to another medical condition.
